"Mission" gallery at State Institute for Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sofia/Bulgaria.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kojabashev opened the "Indigo" exhibition in the "Mission" gallery at State Institute for Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sofia/Bulgaria. The project was realized by artist Valentin Bakardjiev, who lives in Amsterdam and uses the blue indigo color to visualize the idea of the interrelationship between the Blue Planet and us - its inhabitants. The exhibition also includes an installation that is the connecting link between two of the artist's main projects - "Le Grand Bleu" and "The Butterfly Effect" - works of natural materials and special papers. At the opening of the exhibition, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria, H.E. Simon Van der Burg, as well as the director of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Snezhana Yoveva expressed gratitude to the artist for the interesting project, pointing out that his art contributes to strengthening the cultural dialogue between Bulgaria and the Netherlands. Diplomats, art critics, and artists were also among the official guests of the event. The curator of the project is Dr. Mila Stareyshinska-Angelova.
