TBE-TT
sustainable art project

TBE-TT (The Butterfly Effect - Tesseract Temple) is a collection of contemporary artworks that employ traditional carpet weaving techniques. This series integrates sustainability by utilizing natural materials and exploring the intersection of art and science.

The collection incorporates corn leaves dyed with natural indigo extracted from Persicaria tinctoria (Koujoko), a plant cultivated in the artist's Amsterdam garden. The corn variety used is the heritage Blue maize (Zea mays azul), sourced from heirloom Mexican seeds.

Influenced by the Butterfly Effect theory and the Tesseract concept, TBE-TT aims to inspire a deeper awareness of environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. By combining traditional craft with contemporary thought, the collection seeks to create a dialogue about the potential of art to drive positive change.
