RESURRECTION
processThe Making of Resurrection: Crafting Unity from Fragmented Histories
Resurrectionwas brought to life at Atelier Art.E in Sofia, uniting materials and traditions from Bulgaria and the Netherlands. Bulgarian porcelain from Art.E’s contemporary studio and traditional Dutch Delftware were used to create new compositions, blending cultural histories in each mosaic. Through careful reassembly, symbols and ornaments from these distinct heritages merge into a new pattern, titled New Horizons.
This process symbolizes renewal by integrating fragments from both cultures. Each mosaic stands as a reminder of our shared history and humanity, underscoring the importance of sustainable practices. By blending Bulgarian and Dutch influences, Resurrectiontranscends geographic boundaries, inspiring viewers to imagine a connected, sustainable future rooted in global heritage. Even in fragmented pieces, we can find harmony and the potential for a new, unified narrative.
